Born from a Love
of Authentic Pizza

It all started in 1991 when Anthony Bruno — a first-generation Italian-American with a lifelong passion for his grandmother's kitchen — opened a small coal fired pizzeria in Doral, Florida. Armed with recipes passed down through generations and a fiercely burning 900°F coal oven, he set out to bring the true taste of Naples to South Florida.

What began as a humble neighborhood spot quickly became a destination. Word spread fast: the thin, crispy crust with those signature char marks, the hand-crushed San Marzano tomatoes, the fresh-pulled mozzarella — nothing else came close. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza wasn't just food; it was an experience.

Today, led by Anthony's daughter Maria and son Marco, we remain true to every principle that made us great. Same ovens. Same recipes. Same commitment to using only the finest ingredients — many still sourced directly from Italian suppliers Anthony himself selected decades ago.

A Legacy Built Over Decades

1991

The First Fire

Anthony Bruno lights the first coal oven on NW 87th Ave, Doral. The neighborhood watches curiously — and then returns hungry. The original coal fired pizza concept in South Florida is born.

1996

A Neighborhood Icon

After five years of relentless quality and word-of-mouth buzz, Anthony's earns its first "Best Pizza in Miami" nod from a local publication. Lines form before we even open.

2003

Kitchen Expansion

Demand forces a full kitchen renovation. We add a second coal oven imported directly from Naples, expand the dining room to 120 seats, and introduce our beloved roasted chicken wings and broccoli rabe.

2010

Second Generation

Anthony's children, Maria and Marco, join the business full-time. They modernize operations while fiercely protecting every family recipe. The founder steps back — the fire burns on.

2018

Online Ordering Launch

We launch online ordering, bringing Anthony's coal fired pizza to homes across Doral and beyond. Catering services expand to serve weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations.

2024

Still Burning Strong

Over 30 years in, the same oven. The same recipes. The same family. We've served more than a million guests and our coal fire hasn't cooled for a single day since 1991.

Anthony's son and culinary soul of the kitchen. Trained under his father from age 12, Marco oversees every recipe with an obsessive attention to authenticity.

General Manager & Co-owner

The operational heart of Anthony's. Maria ensures every guest experience matches the warmth of a family dinner, from the first hello to the last slice.

Chef Diego Reyes

With 18 years of coal fire mastery, Diego reads the oven the way a musician reads sheet music. His instinct for perfect crust timing is unparalleled.

Front of House Manager

Sofia orchestrates the dining room with effortless grace. A Doral native and Anthony's regular-turned-team-member, she treats every table like her own home.
